CNC Student Speaks Out Against Impark

PRINCE GEORGE- A CNC student is expressing her frustration with Impark after she received what she says is an unfair ticket. Nickitta Ruptash purchased a parking pass and went to class. When she returned her car had been ticketed an hour before her pass was set to expire. After trying to dispute it, she says Impark offered to drop the fee from $37 to $18.50. “I had no choice to pay it, they were going to send me to collections,” said Ruptash, “it’s definitely not just frustrating me, it’s frustrating a lot of people here.” Ruptash says several of her classmates have received tickets while their parking passes were still valid.

Impark says students who want to dispute a ticket can do so through its office at CNC or by calling the number on the back of the ticket. CNC didn’t provide a comment as the college contracts Impark for its parking services.

Ruptash and her classmates are planning to start a petition to change the way Impark issues tickets.
