Firefighter Training This Past Weekend

PRINCE GEORGE — If you were driving by the airport this weekend and noticed an inordinate number of fire trucks on site, don’t panic. About 24 volunteer firefighters were being trained on how to drive those big trucks in adverse conditions.

“Up here if something goes wrong, we have lots of room to avoid anything going haywire,” explains Bruce Perrin, Fire Chief for the Beaverly Fire Hall.

Each trainee navigates obstacle courses and other manoeuvres in the snow and ice. 

The training took place over Saturday and Sunday.
