Community Grants Up For Grabs From Northern Health

PRINCE GEORGE- Does your organization aim to improve the health of those in Northern BC? The IMAGINE Community Grants could help fund your next project. Northern Health awards up to five thousand dollars to groups, schools, municipalities, and other partners that have ideas for projects that will promote health or prevent injury and disease. Since 2009, Northern Health has supported 822 projects including community gardens, skill workshops, and sporting equipment.

Projects should include one or more of the following themes:

• Healthy eating and food security
• Physical activity
• Injury prevention
• Tobacco-free communities
• Positive mental health
• Prevention of substance abuse
• Healthy early childhood development
• Healthy ageing
