Quesnel School Move Delayed

QUESNEL - The Quesnel School District has changed its plans for the move of Quesnel Junior Secondary School students into Maple Park school. The latter was being renovated to accommodate hundreds of students while a new school is being built. That was to happen over the Spring Break.

CNC and Aboriginal Housing Society Form Partnership

PRINCE In the past, the College of New Caledonia's Aboriginal Education department would refer mature students to the Aboriginal Housing Society of Prince George. The Director of that department says Aboriginal students often have unique needs.

New Fire Hall Coming

PRINCE GEORGE - Council has approved the first two readings for a re-zoning on Massey Drive to make way for a new Fire Hall #1.

The new fire hall will be located just north of the entrance to the Family Y.

Secondary Suites Coming

PRINCE GEORGE - City homeowners will soon have an option to accommodate new housing, with Council approving a city-wide change to the Official Community Plan, covering ten different zones. The changes would allow the construction of carriage houses or cottage houses on their properties.
