‘Diversity Rally’ Held At UNBC To Fight Back Against Neo-Nazism Posters
Students and Staff gathered at UNBC Monday morning to fight back against the racially motivated posters that popped up on campus last week.
The goal of the rally was to spread diversity, equality, community, and inclusion.
It was the second time the flyers had been posted on the UNBC campus in the span of 3 and a half weeks.
Students created signs that shared messages of hope, love and strength, with many speaking about racism and how it doesn’t belong on the University campus.
“We are a campus that includes people from all walks of life.” said Hira Rashid, rally organizer.
“Diversity is important, because that’s what Canada is built on.”
There were about 75-85 students and staff that took part in the rally, all sharing the same message. Diversity.
