Small Business Tax Cuts Welcome

Tax cuts for small business by the federal Liberals are being welcomed by local business owners. Owner and operator of The Copper Pig Tyler Burbee says anything that affects his bottom line is a positive way is welcome news. Small business makes up well over 90 percent of business in Canada, here in Prince George there are 650 who are members of the Chamber of Commerce. Taxes will go down to 10 percent in January and drop another percentage in January of 2019. BC Premier John Horgan also announcing tax cuts for small business today, to help kick off Small Business Week. The provincial cuts will see a reduction in tax rate to 2 percent from 2.5 percent and a Small Business Task Force is in the works to help strengthen and grow the sector in BC.
