A small plane has made an emergency landing approximately 50 kilometres north of Prince George on Highway 97.
Police say the pilot called 911 to ask for assistance to block the highway while the landing was made. The pilot drove the plane off the highway to keep the road open. There are no injuries reported.
It’s believed the incident occurred over the lunch hour. DriveBC tweeted it out at 12:48pm, warning drivers not to be surprised by the sight of the plane near the road.
RCMP say the National Transportation Safety Board is looking into the incident.
