Local School District Board To Look At Rules Around Marijuana Legalization

The federal government is still on track to release legislation on cannabis legalization for July 1st of next year.
From that the provinces will put their own legislation into place and many organizations are waiting on what the NDP government will unveil.
School District 57 is expected to meet as a board and talk about rules surrounding legalization, and what priorities need to be laid out.
Board officials say they would expect the legislation that falls into place will be similar to rules surrounding tobacco and alcohol on school property.
