Downtown Prince George Prepares For Winter Carnival

Downtown Prince George is already preparing for a winter festival. Last February, Prince George residents celebrated the very first winter festival, and did so in big numbers. Hundreds took in ice carvings, different food kiosks, a giant ice slide, all on the front lawns of City Hall. The event is put on by Downtown Prince George, which also organizes Summerfest. Downtown PG has now received Council approval to pursue funding from the Northern Development Initiative Trust to host the event again in February.
