Mounties Investigate Attempted Child Abduction
There was an attempted child abduction in Prince George last week. According to police, a woman entered a daycare and asked for a child by name. However, she was refused access to the child, because she couldn’t provide any identification. She left without incident, shortly after 3:00pm on Friday, October 27. The parent was informed of the situation, and confirmed that no one else was authorized to pick up the child. While RCMP believe that this was a targeted incident, they are warning all parents and daycare operators to be wary of similar situations. Police are looking for a short, slender Caucasian woman with blonde hair. They have not released any information about the name of the daycare, but say the investigation is on-going. They’re asking the public to provide information through Crime Stoppers or by calling the local detachment.
