Nov 3, 2017 | 9:23 AM
Radon is known to be in every home basement in Canada. It can’t be seen or smelt, but if it accumulates to high levels it can become a health hazard. November is Radon Action Month in Canada. Health officials encourage people to have their homes tested, to protect their health and the health of their families from the carcinogenic gas. Health Canada recommends that homes be tested for a minimum of three months and placed in the lowest lived in level of your home. Test kits can be purchased through Northern Health Public Health Protection offices.
