Prince George’s Jobless Numbers Continue To Dip

The unemployment rate in Prince George continues to head in the right direction , down to 5.2 percent last month , more than a one percent drop from the 6.5 percent rate a year ago. The same scenario in the Cariboo region ,with the jobless rate at 5.9 percent this October, compared to 7.1 percent a year ago. Provincially, the October rate didn’t budge from its 4.9 percent setting the month earlier ,while Canada’s jobless rate edged up in October by one tenth of a point to 6.3 percent.
