Search Resumes For Missing Plane

A search is resuming near Revelstoke this morning as rescuers look for any sign of a small plane that vanished Saturday afternoon on a flight from Penticton to Edmonton.
Crews are concentrating on the Revelstoke area because the pilot’s cellphone has “pinged” a cell tower in that region.
Two people are aboard the plane but their identities or hometowns have not been released.
Poor weather hampered search efforts yesterday but the Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre says two Parks Canada helicopters, a charter helicopter and a military helicopter from Comox were up and could be joined by other resources today.
