Cycling Lanes Becoming Popluar

Most Canadians commute to work in a car. According to Statistics Canada, some commuters are choosing to get out of their vehicles and hop on a bicycle. The number of people cycling to work has risen by 61.6% since 1996 across the nation. Prince George City Councillor Jillian Merrick says the city is catching up with the citizen transportation demands and plans are in place to encourage future development of active transportation routes.
