Three Spruce Kings Trying Out For Team Canada West

The Spruce Kings will be without three of their top players this weekend, as Kyle Johnson, Ethan de Jong and late addition Layton Ahac are all off to Team Canada West’s camp for the World Junior A Challenge. The camp runs from December 2nd to 5th, and if they make the team, they will be headed to Truro, Nova Scotia from December 10th to 15th for the tournament. Johnson and de Jong were both invited to camp last year, and Johnson ended up making the team but de Jong was cut. This year, the Spruce Kings’ leading scorer has a pretty good shot at making it.
