Operation Popcorn Volunteers Pop In To UHNBC

Volunteers visited the University Hospital of Northern BC this morning to hand out popcorn to hospital staff. Transplant BC hosts Operation Popcorn every year to thank the doctors and nurses that make organ donation possible. It’s a way for staff to see the lives they’ve saved and for patients and family members to give back. “I’ve seen my grandkids grow up from little guys, I’ve seen them get married, we’re going to have our first great-grandchild pretty soon, and if I didn’t have a heart transplant I wouldn’t be here,” said volunteer, Joyce Grantham.
To become an organ donor, visit Transplant BC. Living donors are needed for kidney and liver transplants.
