Green Christmas

The Recycling Council of British Columbia is asking residents of BC to rethink how they celebrate the upcoming holiday season, and explore new, greener traditions.
They suggest giving experiences instead of things, as a way to reduce holiday waste. Choose 100 percent recyclable gift wrap. Cellophane and metallic foil wrappings can end up in landfills. Food scraps that can’t be used for leftovers can be composted or given to animals to reduce any potential waste.
