Blackburn Park Receives More Support

Remax Centre City is pledging $120,000 towards the development of the Blackburn Bike Park.  The newly renamed Remax Adventure Park will be designed by Canadian Ramp Company, which specializes in the bike and adventure park. 

Officials behind the project received City Council’s support for the development of the facility a few months ago, when council voted unanimously to develop a portion of the City operated Blackburn Park into an all-ages bike/adventure park. The Yellowhead Rotary Club has already thrown it’s support into the project.

Soon Blackburn community members will have the chance to express their desires for the facility, which can be incorporated into the final design. A survey will be going out to members of the community.  It’s hoped the survey will identify what users, and specifically youth, would like to see in the park, as far as equipment is concerned.
