Sears Shuts Its Doors For The Last Time

Today is your last chance to take advantage of the liquidation sales happening at Sears. The store will officially close its doors for good this evening.

Sears has been a long-standing tenant at the Pine Centre Mall, and staff are sad to see it go. “They’ve been with us since 1976, they were one of our first anchor tenants, we love them, a lot of the staff has been there forever so we really feel for Sears itself and the staff,” said marketing director, Jessica Brown.

But when one door closes, another opens and mall staff say the vacant store could bring new opportunities to PG. “It’s so big and there are so many outside entrances that it gives us unlimited opportunity to do a whole bunch of things,” Brown added. “We’ve been taking a lot of the feedback that we’ve been getting from people in Prince George.”
