Watts Pays Northern BC Another Visit
PRINCE GEORGE — Liberal leadership hopeful Dianne Watts used the informal backdrop of Oh Chocolat to mingle and chat with folks prior to the leadership election February 3rd. She has made more than a couple of stops in Northern BC. She came armed with a glossy brochure outlining her priorities, should she become Liberal leader. Those priorities include better access to health care and affordable housing, a review of ICBC, a review of forestry policy, amongst other things.
Watts says she has plenty of faith in the rural party-faithful.
“When we look at the election, it was the Lower Mainland that let the rest of British Columbia down as far as the BC Liberals are concerned,” she says. “When I look at the Interior and Northern British Columbia, there’s very loyal, very dedicated people that do a lot of work and that want a free-enterprise party in power.”
Watts is joining Mike deJong, Michael Lee, Todd Stone, Sam Sullivan and Andrew Wilkinson in the campaign to lead the BC Liberals. The election takes place February 3rd.
