PRINCE GEORGE – The City of Prince George is leading a bid for the 2020 Tim Hortons Brier. Mayor Lyn Hall was on hand with members of the Prince George Golf and Curling Club to make the announcement.
The City is calling for Prince George residents to support the bid effort by putting a deposit of $20.20 for a ticket to the event.
Prince George hosted the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in 1983 and 2000 and the 2009 Road to the Roar, a pre-Olympic curling event.  The Brier is considered the preeminent curling event in Canada.
