PRINCE GEORGE- The fourth annual Kiwanis AleFest is back in town this weekend. The event sold out quickly, in just 15 minutes. 100% of the proceeds will go to local children’s charities and organizations, including Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Prince George Public Library. “A big one is the Ronald McDonald House of BC, so for families from the north that need a place to stay while their children are in the Children’s Hospital, we support them,” said Marketing and Communications Lead, Eric Ball. “They don’t have to pay any money at all, their family can stay in the Ronald McDonald House completely covered by our Kiwanis club in town.” Two Rivers Art Gallery kids art program and the Therapeutic Riding Association will also receive some money.

If you didn’t manage to grab tickets, there will also be a beer tour in the downtown core called the Cask Beer Experience. Eight restaurants will feature local beers, and prizes will be given to those who fill out an entry form. For more information on the Cask Beer Experience visit the AleFest website.
