PGPL Youth Programs Successful In 2017
PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Public Library has released its second annual youth report. The goal is to highlight the programs and popularity of the library among teens and kids in 2017.
The library saw nearly 15,000 youth participate in programming at both branches last year, and an additional 5011 came with school or community groups.
15% of the almost 60,000 cardholders are 18 years old or younger. And a whopping 16,500 books were borrowed by youth every month in 2017.
The library also hosted more than 350 hours of free tutoring, 34 hours of coding classes, and hundreds of other programs.
