Big Brothers Big Sisters Fundraise For Their Mentorship Programs

PRINCE GEORGE — Today is Pink Shirt Day, and it raises awareness for anti-bullying in our community.

Big Brothers Big Sisters has been promoting the day all month, by selling pink shirts and treats. The organization is raising money for its mentorship programs.

It says kids who are mentored, are less likely to become bullies or bystanders. Pairing children up with a positive role model also helps build confidence to shut down bullies. Big Brothers Big Sisters has anti-bullying programming year round.
