Condors New Head Coach Leaning On Big Game Experience

Boys high school basketball provincials get underway tomorrow morning in Langley. In the triple-A tournament, Duchess Park goes in as the 7-seed, hoping to improve on their 14th place finish last year. They’ve got a number of talented grade 12’s, as well as new head coach Jordan Yu, who’s a former provincial champion himself. Yu won the single-A title when he was a grade 10 at O’Grady Catholic School, and the team’s coach that year was John MacDonald, who is Yu’s mentor and assistant coach this year with Duchess Park.
