‘Be proud of the people who live here’, PG Recognized For 2017 Wildfire Evacuation

PRINCE GEORGE – An emotional show of appreciation came from 100 Mile House Mayor Mitch Campsall at city council Monday night.

Mayor Campsall presented Mayor Lynn Hall a plaque for the City of Prince George to recognize its efforts in response to the 2017 wildfire evacuations. 

“Prince George needs to be proud of the people who live here,” says Mitch Campsall, 100 Mile House Mayor.

Last summer the entire town of 100 Mile House was placed under an evacuation order.

After receiving the plaque, Mayor Lynn Hall responded saying “we were prepared to take another 10,000 if we had to”.
