SD57 To Talk 2018/19 Budget

PRINCE GEORGE- Tonight, the Board of Education will consider first, second, and potentially the third reading of the Annual Budget bylaw. The board says the budget for the 2018-2019 school year is good news, with an amount of 165.7 million dollars earmarked to ensure current programming stays the same, as well as staying in compliance with teacher’s collective agreements. It’s also running a surplus this year, which will be used for one time purchases, including a portion of funding for Kelly Road Secondary School’s rebuild. Tonight’s meeting will take place at 7 at the School District on Ferry Avenue.
