Zimmer Hosts Meet And Greet
PRINCE GEORGE – The MP for Prince George-Peace River-Rockie Mountains made a stop at the Hart Wheel Inn today for a meet and greet with constituents. A recent election in Ontario, in which Doug Ford has become premier, and been on the news a lot lately. We asked Bob Zimmer if there is a move to a more Conservative government in Canada, as evidenced by Ford’s victory. He says it is more of a reaction to Liberal policies.
“What we’ve seen from those governments is increased debt, dramatically increased debt,” says Zimmer. “Deficit and debt in Ontario was the largest sub-national debt in the world. The hydro rates are enormously expensive and you start to say ‘Well, it’s good to have good ideas but they all have a cost and they are enormous.’ I think Canadians, in general, are starting to see that. That ultimately it ends up with more money coming out of their pocket.”
Both MP’s for Prince George are Conservative.
