North Central Labour Council Looking For Candidates

PRINCE GEORGE – Although the civic election is not until October 20th, the lobbying has begun already. 

The North Central Labour Council is looking for a slate of candidates to support this time.

“When we have a candidate that would like to have the endorsement of labour, we send them a questionnaire and then our Civic Caucus Committee goes through the questionnaire and decides whether or not to grant an interview to these folks,” explains Don Iwaskow, President of the North Central labout Council.

Once the Labour Council has chosen its slate of Councillors, it sends out that list toi all its members and member unions with an eye to choosing those candidate on election day. And he says there is an expectation of that candidate if they are successful on election day. And Iwaskow cites an example.
