PRINCE GEORGE- The Prince George Humane Society says last year was a learning curve, as it cared for more than 200 animals of evacuees for nearly 30 days. It says the new facility will help provide a more comfortable environment for the animals and peace of mind for the owners as there is more space for the animals to stretch their legs. The Society is looking for donations like cat food, toys, scratching posts, and cleaning supplies. It also needs volunteers to help care for the animals at the shelter or foster at home. To find out how to help, contact the shelter at (250) 640-7415.
