PRINCE GEORGE- Last Friday, a home in the 2800 block of Norwood Street was completely destroyed by fire. It wasn’t just a home, however, the building was owned by the Canadian Mental Health Association. It was home to two programs that help hundreds of people with mental illness reintegrate into the workforce every week. The damage was more than 250 thousand dollars, and that’s not the only bad news… the Association also found out it was underinsured. The facility will need to be completely rebuilt and it is looking for monetary or in-kind donations. CMHA has partnered with the Aboriginal Housing Society and will continue programming there until the Clubhouse is rebuilt.
