Old Cop Shop Coming Down

PRINCE GEORGE – It’s something of an eyesore in the downtown is coming down. The former courthouse and RCMP detachment is being levelled this week. Mayor Lyn Hall says this is a day he’s been waiting for since getting on Council. Built in 1972, the demolition was budgeted for this year. Hall says the City had tried to sell the property but it became clear that it’s only use was for an RCMP detachment.
Once demolished, it will serve as a parking lot until such time as a buyer comes forward.
