PRINCE GEORGE – The new campaign sign bylaw will kick in next Tuesday, as the nomination period for the civic election gets underway.
“People will still see election signs, but they will be concentrated within the areas identified within the sign bylaw,” explains Walter Babicz, the General Manager of Administrative Services.
The bylaw restricts candidate signage on City-owned property to 14 specific sites and restricts the size of those signs to no more than three square metres.
It does not limit the number of signs on private property but those signs can be no larger than one and a half square metres. Nor does it affect signage along the two provincial highways.
