Smokey Skies Bulletin Update

Northern BC – There has been increased fire activity as of Friday in the Nechako, Fraser Lake and Tweedsmuir complexes due to gusty conditions in the central north-west of BC.
Winds combined with a general northwesterly air flow has resulted in transport of a significant smoke plume to the southeast and a return to smoky conditions for many areas as far south as the North Okanagan.
The Smoky Skies Bulletin issued Friday has been amended to reflect the potentially affected areas. The Castlegar area and the Keremeos, Oliver and Osoyoos area remain in the Bulletin as a result of smoke from local wildfires.
Dease Lake has been removed from the Bulletin due to decreased fire activity in the area.
