Official Nomination Period Underway for Municipal Election

This morning at 9 am marked the official opening of the nomination period for the 2018 Municipal Election. 

Those wishing to run for City Council,  School Board or the Regional District have until 4 pm on September 14th to file their official nomination papers.

Candidate nomination packages for Mayor and Council are available at City Hall or online.  Those wishing to run for a position with the Regional District or School Board can access documents at the Prince George,  Mackenzie, Valemount or McBride Regional District offices.

Council candidate Kyle Sampson was the first in line this morning at City Hall to file his papers to Walter Babicz,  the City’s Chief Election Officer,  and says the process was quick and easy.
