Remember To Blow Out Your Candles

PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Fire Rescue was called to an apartment fire around 11 pm last night. The smoke was coming from the second story window at the 2100 block of Upland Street. Twenty firefighters from four halls responded. On arrival crews found the building evacuated and were able to gain entry quickly. The fire was caused by an unattended candle beside the mattress. There was one person home at the time of the incident but there were no injuries to any fire personnel or the tenant.
The damage of the fire is estimated at 75 thousand dollars.
