Cougars End Pre-Season With A Loss
SPORTS – The Prince George Cougars ended their Pre Season with a tight loss to the Kamloops Blazers Saturday night.
The game started with power play after power play that resulted in the Blazers leading 1-0. But 27 seconds later the Cougars returned the favour with a short-handed goal from Tyson Upper. The second period saw the same thing, multiple power plays and chances but the score remained the same heading into the final period. Just over a minute into the third Blazers took the lead once again and Josh Curtis scored right back to tie it at 2-2. An exciting game at the CN Centre as both Kamloops and Prince George each grab another goal before heading into overtime. Just 46-seconds into OT Blazers took the win 4-3.
Regular season games will begin next weekend as the Cougars travel to Victoria for a doubleheader against the Royals.
