Funds Raised For Spirit Of The North Healthcare Foundation
PRINCE GEORGE – It was a successful wine lovers event over the weekend, in support of the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation. At the Coast Inn of the North, a little over $74,000 was raised and the proceeds will go towards much-needed learning equipment at the Northern Clinical Simulation Lab at UHNBC. The equipment includes a newborn training simulator and a SIM NewB.
Clinical Simulation is a valuable learning tool for physicians, students, clinical staff and first responders. It’s attempt to replicate some or the majority of all of the essential aspects of a clinical situation so that it can better be understood and managed when it happens for real.
“The evening was amazing – it always is,” said Judy Neiser, CEO for Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation. “The energy in the room was exciting and we are so thrilled with what this partnership for healthcare has done once again. The Coast Inn of the North, Jim Pattison Broadcast Group and the generosity of those who attended really made for a perfect evening with great outcomes for healthcare in the North and education in the North. Detecting early with a more accurate diagnosis is key to treatment and the better educated or healthcare professionals are the better the long-term results will be.”
