School District 57 Enrollment Numbers

PRINCE GEORGE — The enrollment numbers for School District 57 are holding steady from last year. While the final numbers are still being counted, the district says that from the 2017-2018 school year, there was a small increase of 35 students, bringing the total to just over 13,000. Even though the growth isn’t significant, it shows that the enrollment numbers are starting to level out, which allows the school board to focus on capacity issues.
“We know that catchment and capacity is an issue that this board is continuing to look at and tackle and is going to be a priority for the district over the next year,” says Tim Bennett, the Chair for the Board of Education.
