A Chance To Chat About A Career
PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Public Library is putting on an event that allows anyone looking for guidance in their career or a job change the chance to chat one-on-one with local professionals about their work.
This is the 4th year the event has been held but the first time it’s been open to anyone age 10 and older. In past years the event was held mainly for teens.
“I think this event is important because it gives anyone from a child to an adult the chance to explore a career path and to meet with working professionals that can advise them in the steps to take in a certain career,” says Amy Dhanjal, Communications Coordinator at the Public Library.
Professionals taking part in the event include BBQ House’s Head Chef, Melissa Bermudez, Illustrator Madeline Kloepper, Lawyer Carolynne Burkholder, and Graphic Designer Ashley McCrae. In addition, participants can also learn about careers in social work, early childhood education, radio, nursing and more.
Job Chats is a free event that will be held in the Keith Gordon Room from 1:30-3:00 pm on Saturday, November 17th.
