Spring season brings summer weather
PRINCE GEORGE — Spring is officially here but with the recent warm weather, you might think its already summer.
It’s quite the change from last month being the coldest February on record, but one UNBC professor explains what caused that cold spell is actually the same thing that’s bringing the heat.
The weather is not all positive, however, with a constant spring-time problem to watch for in the air. Air quality advisories are a regular occurrence this time of year in Prince George and the central interior.
UNBC Meteorologist Dr. Peter Jackson mentioned while the blast of warm weather is welcome, it can sometimes bring its share of issues like floods, and that generally, it’s best for a gradual change in the weather, rather than a sharp turn like what we are seeing.
