Happy Earth Day!

PRINCE GEORGE – A few clubs gathered at Exploration Place today to take part in Earth Day. One of them came from Canada’s Green University, UNBC, where the newly-formed Green Club” now calls home.

“We have quite a large club right now,” explains Mackenzie Kerr, founder of the Green Club. “We just started in September and we’ve hosted beeswax workshops, which are an alternative to Saran Wrap. That was a very popular event and we’re hoping to have more in the future.”

Earth Day was first celebrated in 1970 in response to after the ravages of the 1969 massive oil spill in Santa Barbara, California.
