Prescribed burns near Houston

HOUSTON, B.C. — The BC Wildfire service is planning a few fuel management treatments in the Lund road subdivision outside Houston over the next couple of months.

The fuel treatments will cover 4.3 hectares of land that has a large number of dead and blown down spruce and pine trees.

Woody debris will be burned when weather and site conditions are suitable.

The Wildfire Service says signs will be posted in the area to inform residents when crews will be there.
