Heat wave on the way
PRINCE GEORGE β A heat wave is on the way for much of BC, here in the Central Interior day time highs are expected to hit over 20 degrees beginning tomorrow, compared to the daily average of 15.
Bobby Sekhon with Environment Canada points to a high pressure ridge which will deliver hot and dry conditions to many parts of the province until Sunday at least. He warns those spending any time outside to put on sunscreen and to stay hydrated.
In the meantime, there will be a partial category 2 fire prohibition taking effect Wednesday in the Prince George and Omenica Districts of the Prince George Fire Centre.
