RCMP issue 60 tickets between PG and Vanderhoof

PRINCE GEORGE — Mounties issued 60 tickets Wednesday (May 8) on Highway 16 between Prince George and Vanderhoof.

Forty-nine of those were speeding tickets while five were for vehicle-equipment violations.

In addition to that, three people were ticketed for failing to slow down and move over for police vehicles, one for talking on their cell phone, another for following too closely and one more ticket for crossing a double-solid line.

Prince George RCMP Sgt. Matt LaBelle with Municipal Traffic Services says May is speeding and aggressive driving month across the province.
