Pine Centre pop-up shop open for local businesses
PRINCE GEORGE— There are plenty of risks and expenses that come with starting a business. A new rotating pop-up shop at Pine Centre Mall may encourage up and coming businesses to have a temporary store-front location.
“What it’s allowed us to do is lease out this space totally renovated,” Pine Centre Specialty Leasing Manager Leah Feenstra says. “It has its utilities included already. We are able to lease that out to these smaller companies because a lot of them might be worried about having a physical location because they may not want to incur that over-head cost.”
Stores renting the pop-up shop location pay a fixed cost, varying based on the amount of time they are open- ranging from a couple of days to a maximum of a month.
