Ride event to bring awareness and raise funds for mental health

PRINCE GEORGE – A local woman is the spokesperson behind this year’s Ride Don’t Hide event. Brooklyn Derksen is hoping to spread awareness about her struggles with mental health in the hopes that others can speak up or show their support.
The annual bike ride is held on June 23rd and is designed to raise awareness and money for the Canadian Mental Health Association. The CMHA will be using all the proceeds from this year’s ride to help rebuild its clubhouse that was burned down last summer.
