Quesnel Endorses Safer Quesnel program
QUESNEL – The opioid crisis is not just a Big City issue. In fact, the City of Quesnel has seen a spike in criminal activity, especially in the downtown.
“Like most communities that are dealing with homelessness, systemic poverty, the opioid crisis other additions that lead people to criminal activity associated with feeding their habit,” says Mayor Bob Simpson. “Quesnel has seen a pretty substantive increase in property crime.”
But the City of Quesnel has said enough is enough. It has launched the Safer Quesnel program, which sets out how the City as well as business and property owners can protect themselves.
