Prince George celebrates Vaisakhi

PRINCE GEORGE—The Guru Nanak Darbar Society of Prince George was celebrating Vaisakhi- the birth of the Sikh religion.

The parade went along Ospika Boulevard and featured many Sikh traditions.

Thousands more gathered at the CN Centre parking lot after the parade. Everyone in the community was welcome to attend. Vegetable treats, samosas and many other traditional foods were free for everyone attending.

The event sparked conversations about Sikh traditions, with many celebrating and enjoying the festivities for different reasons.
