26 local firefighters sent to Alberta to help combat flames

Wildfires continue to run a blaze in Alberta, and BC has been called in for backup. The BC Wildfire service is sending 267 fire personnel to the eastern province. 26 of those 267 are firefighters from the PG Fire Center.

Sinkhole closes Connaught Hill Park to vehicles

A failed catch basin is believed to be at blame for a sinkhole created over the weekend that ended up closing vehicle access to Connaught Hill Park. The hole has since been fixed.

Terrace to get new $447.5 million state-of-the-art hospital

Terrace is receiving a new hospital that is expected to be finished by 2024. The new building will be more than double the size of the current one allowing for higher patient capacity, better care for mental health and an upgrade from a level-five trauma center to a level-three.

Kids at Buckhorn Elementary put on a drumming concert this morning in their gym. Students practiced for months and learnt different first nations songs and the meanings behind them.
